The project is to develop coordination arrangement and protocol and provide capacity building in supporting Government of Indonesia’s mobilization of private investment in the tourism sector. The objective is to enhance the enabling environment for private investment and business entry in tourism.
The project delivers technical support and capacity building to a selection of government agencies to develop investment promotion strategies and to strengthen the institutional capabilities to attract, facilitate, retain, and expand tourism investment proactively, mainly focused on lodging investments. The project assists BKPM, Ministry of Tourism Investment Section, Tourism Authority Boards of Lake Toba and Borobudur as well as Indonesia Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) to achieve more effective investment promotion in the tourism sector.
