Indonesian Tourism Village Award (ADWI) 2024, Tourism Village Towards World Class Green Tourism

The Indonesian Tourism Village Award (ADWI) is a prestigious event with the aim of improving the village economy through tourism and promoting the potential of tourist villages in Indonesia to both domestic and foreign tourists. This event was first held in 2021 and continues to this day.

Green tourism has now become a concern and market demand; so that ADWI 2024 carries the theme of tourist villages towards world-class green tourism. Through this theme, we encourage tourist villages to be managed sustainably by preserving nature, socio-economics and culture.

Participating tourist villages will be classified based on four categories, namely pioneering, developing, advanced and independent. Aspects that will be assessed at ADWI 2024 include attractiveness, amenities, digital, institutional and human resources, and resilience.

This event attracted the interest of 6,010 tourist villages to participate. Based on classification and assessment aspects, tourist villages will be curated into the top 500, top 300, top 100 to top 50.

Curation is carried out by a jury who are experts in the field of green tourism who focus on tourist villages. Mrs. Wiwik Mahdayani, Founder & Executive Director of DESMA Center is part of the jury for ADWI 2024.
